Tips for using your client welcome page

Let's get started

We are glad you are here.

Whether you are building something new through The Foundation, refining what already exists with The Refinement, or stepping into ongoing care through Digital Stewardship — you are in the right place.

This welcome guide exists to give you a clear picture of how we work, what to expect, and how to make the most of our time together.

Everything specific to your project — your contract, invoice, intake form, and updates — lives in your StudioDesk, your personal client portal. You will find a link to your StudioDesk in the email you received after booking.

If you have questions before we officially get started, you are welcome to reach out. We would rather you ask than wonder.

With care,
The Wellstead Studio Team

01. clarity and preparation

We establish the visual and structural direction for your site. You will review design concepts and make decisions that shape how your digital home looks and feels.

Your role

Review concepts thoughtfully and share consolidated, clear feedback within the agreed window.

the process

Our job is not to say yes to everything. If something is not serving your goals, we will say so. You hired us for our judgment, and we take that seriously.

thoughtful execution

Every decision made on your project is made with care. We move with intention, not urgency, because quality requires room to breathe.

honest guidance

You will always know where things stand. We do not disappear mid-project, and we do not leave you guessing. If something comes up on our end, we will tell you.

Checklist Items

A great project is a two-way partnership. The work we do together is only as strong as what both sides bring to it. When you show up prepared, communicate clearly, and trust the process, everything moves better — the timeline, the decisions, and the end result. Here is what that looks like in practice.

We do not. Brand Alignment for the Web is available only as an add-on to website projects. If you need full branding before beginning a website, we are happy to point you toward specialists for that work.

5. DO YOU OFFER STANDALONE BRANDING?

Ongoing care is available through Digital Stewardship for clients who want their digital presence managed over time. It is not required, but many clients find it to be a natural next step after launch.

4. WHAT HAPPENS AFTER MY PROJECT IS COMPLETE?

Revisions are scoped within each project and outlined in your proposal and agreement. What we ask is that feedback be consolidated and clear before it is sent. This keeps us moving efficiently and protects your timeline.

3. HOW MANY REVISIONS ARE INCLUDED?

Platform selection is part of our process. During your intake and kickoff we assess your goals, your audience, and your long-term needs before making a recommendation. We primarily work with Showit and WordPress and will always explain the reasoning behind our choice.

2. WHAT PLATFORM WILL MY WEBSITE BE BUILT ON?

Timelines vary based on scope and how smoothly feedback rounds move. Most Foundation and Refinement projects unfold over several weeks. A more specific timeline will be outlined in your proposal and visible in your StudioDesk.

1. HOW LONG WILL MY PROJECT TAKE?

Frequently asked questions

Managed hosting is available to approved WordPress clients through Wellstead House. Showit websites are hosted directly through the Showit platform, and clients maintain their own subscription, which ensures full ownership and direct access.

6. DO YOU OFFER HOSTING?

Additional work is always scoped and priced separately before anything begins. We will never add to a project without a clear agreement in place first.

7. WHAT IF SOMETHING COMES UP OUTSIDE MY PROJECT SCOPE?

The best way to reach us is through your StudioDesk. For general questions, you are welcome to reach us by email during office hours, Monday through Friday, 10am to 6pm Eastern.
